The dryer exhausts in commercial laundromats, dry cleaning plants, hospitals and institutions require periodic cleaning to remove dangerous lint buildup.

Commercial dryers are often heated by gas, the exhaust system vents the lint and the combustion gases through the same duct-work.  As these vents become clogged, there is an increased risk of fire and flue gases entering the work place.Typically these systems have large ducts that may travel a long distance before exiting the building, the length of duct increases the amount of lint that accumulates.

Clogged dryer vents also increase the drying time and overall operating costs. Laundromat customers tend to get frustrated with high drying costs and will look for a cheaper, more efficient alternative.
